Brisky Artwork

Brisky the Bear (or Brisky, Brisk or BB for short) is another mascot for the Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters. A very popular mascot, Brisky is Nippon Ham's spokesperson for eating a healthy breakfast and engaging in an active lifestyle. He was the main mascot of the team untill being replaced by Frep the Fox in 2018. However, he still regularly appears at almost all Fighters games. He was introduced in 2004, and replaced Fighty, the team's mascot during their final years in Tokyo, from 1993-2003. From his introduction untill 2017, he was also the mascot of Nippon-Ham. He wears the number 202, referencing the number of municipalities in Hokkaido at the time of his introduction in 2004. He underwent a bit of a redesign in 2005 due to the original costume wearing out and becoming damaged. Originally, he was criticized by Fighters supporters due to him being too Americanized, and replacing Fighty, a mascot that grew on them. However, throughout the years, Brisky eventually was accepted by Fighters fans and became a fan favorite. As of 2023, he has been partially retired, as while he is still actively used in team marketing, he rarely appears in games, having, as mentioned above, replaced by Frep the Fox and Polly Polaris in the team's games.

He is friends with Cubby, Polly Polaris, and Frep the Fox.
